Summer florals
This post seemed much more relevant yesterday when the sun was shining (today it is pouring down!)....a little collection of floral dresses from both mine and Lily's wardrobes. Vintage, handmade, thrifted, high street and designer.

Weekend sunshine

Lunch at Borough market - a rainbow of organic salad, the Tate Modern to see the Futurism and Per Kirkeby exhibitions, back to Borough market to indulge in something a bit sweeter (fresh fruit cheesecake and chocolate fudge cake) and then on to the Serpentine to see Jeff Koons (still not convinced that his aluminium cast sculptures aren't really inflatable plastic toys!!) and the beautiful new reflective pavillion described as a "floating aluminium cloud".

Swedish celebrations

I was honoured to be invited out to Fegen in Sweden last weekend to celebrate the wedding of my Swedish friend Jenny and English friend Dan. An amazingly peaceful and beautiful place surrounded by lakes and lush overgrown wildflowers. The bride and groom arrived by boat across the lake, violinists led the couple down the aisle, ribbon-tied champagne flutes toast the occasion, woven foliage hearts (photo by Dave!) and jugs of wildflowers, the candle song...the balloon song...the schnapps song...the flag song, favourite fabrics of the day - intricately embroidered wedding dress and my vintage printed dress.
