Sticky dots

For a little girl who has become a little obsessed with stickers, I think this was her favourite exhibition EVER! Part of the current Yayoi Kusama exhibition at the Tate Modern, the Obliteration Room began as a completely white space, where visitors are given a sheet of sticky dots (the size, colour and finish were all chosen by Kusama) and free to just stick them anywhere they want (even on the toy cat!). It was a great place to let the kids have some crazy play time and oddly, it also felt quite relaxing and calm in there.

Golden hues

My final Christmas-related post before we begin to take down the decorations and I start practising all those New Year resolutions I have promised myself! Glitter-dusted letters, metallic foiled chocolates, mirrored card, gold star confetti, twirling cut-out angels, and a quirky hand-printed card from my friends husband at a two pipe problem.

Festive textiles

Fabric confetti, tree ribbons, flouro ticker-tape, crochet snowmen and patchwork reindeer....all seen on the Kings Road today while I was hunting for pastry cutters for my mince pies! (Still haven't got any, think I've left it too late)

Wedding bells

Some photos from a beautiful family wedding we went to last weekend in the North-East...rose petal confetti, diamante highlights, lace trims, sugared almonds in ceramic boxes, ornate chandeliers and milk chocolate squares to celebrate the married couple.....not to mention the belly dancing and fireworks surprise!
