Adorable bundle

Sorry for my absence....I've had a baby!
The blog may be a bit neglected for a while, and I have to try very hard to think about anything but babies, so please be patient.

Ceramic collections

My collection of ceramics are finding their homes in the flat - the plates are finally on the wall and look fantastic....there is definitely a certain style and look that I seem to be attracted to, often unconsciously when I purchase something new.

I love my new Battersea power station plate from Snowden Flood, but I'm still pining for a plate from ninainvorm - I love her quirky style of printing bunting and birds over vintage ceramics (just need to find the funds first!).

Unexpected gifts

An unexpected letter from a friend in a bird-printed envelope, with a set of monogrammed index cards from my favourite stationery website Present&Correct. It's so lovely to receive a gift in the post, especially when you've been cooped up inside for weeks! It also inspired me to dig out lots of other notebooks/labels/stamps/postcards/packaging that I've been collecting over the years so look out for a couple of stationery-themed posts coming soon...

Bun in the oven

....along with some homemade mince pies and jam tarts in preparation for Christmas (to look the part of both a domestic goddess and new Mum...if he/she ever decides to come out!). Left cooling on my gorgeous new purchases from Skandi print company New House Textiles - Golden Orchard pot stand and Red Fox chopping board.

Paper studies

I'm in love with the work of Esther Ramirez, seen on her blog ESSIMAR. "A studio wrapped in geometric paper and singular sculptured pieces". Images from alittlehamster.

Curated explosion

I couldn't resist saving this post for Bonfire night - a collection of fireworks, explosives and packaging curated by colour, shape and size. My final post from the super inspiring Kalender/Wit exhibition in Antwerp.

Penguin classics

I picked up these Penguin English Classics from a second-hand bookshop on Church Street, Stoke Newington, at the weekend....partly for the stories but mainly for the beautiful stylised covers designed by Nathan Burton. I love the flat stencilled quality of the images and the simple colour palettes. Now I just need to find a free wall to hang them on!
