Making friends

Lily has found some new friends (beside the fish) at the Horniman Museum...she runs around the display cases saying "hiya" to the monkeys, birds and big cats, and particularly loves the creepy collection of dogs heads. I can't work out how to tell a 15 month old that they don't have any bodies!

Folkloric stationery

Some gorgeous stationery from Present&Correct (again...I love their stuff so much!) that I bought for a friends birthday a while ago and couldn't help taking a few shots of. I absolutely love the Skandi bird print writing paper and acorn envelopes that were sourced in Japan.

Colour-drip birds

I love all things bird-related, and have realised that my flat is slowly filling up with images, screenprints, postcards, books and mobiles of them. I was so excited to come across these extraordinary paintings yesterday (thanks Present&Correct!) by Maurizio Bongiovanni.

The group of paintings, titled 'Bird Rib', aim to "question the effect that the 'digitalization' is taking in the panorama view, re-marking the boundaries of the relationship between nature and technological process". (excerpt and all images taken from his Flickr page)
