Japanese bib clips

Inspiration can even come from the local playgroup! I spotted this gorgeous baby girl this morning, wearing a beautiful printed dress (some Japanese brand) and sporting a very trendy and unusual bib clip. The clips allow you to use any kind of fabric as a bib (such as this pink polka dot muslin cloth) and the beads adjust the strap at the back. I am in love with this stylish accessory....unfortunately her mum told me this also came from Japan so no purchasing one round here. Japanese babies are just too cool!!

(Apologies for rubbish photos, she just wouldn't stop wriggling!)

Sequences

Sequence>list>order>series>
My post yesterday reminded me of the series of photos I took of a lunch I had in Tokyo - the beautiful layers of packaging, colours and textures of the food and empty wooden box.

Patterns in the round

Japanese packaging and Parisian metal boxes - origami folds, etched and overprinted, translucent rice paper and crackled effects.

Japanese packaging

Some quirky packaging picked up on a research trip to Tokyo last year. I could have spent hours taking photographs in the food halls!

Tokyo gardens

Some photos I took from Tokyo last year of mini urban gardens using recycled packaging and found objects. Beautifully designed and sitting perfectly alongside manmade structures.
