Footprint pottery

We visited the new pottery cafe on Northcote Road, Battersea just before Christmas to make some unique presents for family. Lily painted with her feet to create a gorgeous little mug for her Auntie (complete with red London bus stamp on the inside!) and we turned her footprints into butterflies on plates for the grandparents.

  1. Wow! I love them, what a really sweet idea. I think we night have a go at doing it. How difficult was it with a squirmy little worm? Or is yours a fabled zen baby? Iris is constructed of jumping beans I think x

  2. Ah, thanks! It was fairly easy, they have assistants there who do it all for you ; ) you just have the baby on your lap and choose a colour, they paint the feet and press them on whichever ceramic item you choose (depending on the size of the foot!!). The key is to get all the footprints done at the beginning and then add all the other decoration while they're munching on their lunch! Its lots of fun though....enjoy! X
